Power your 12V accessories straight from your cart's main battery pack with this 48V/36V to 12V voltage reducer. Running lights, a radio, cooler, GPS or USB chargers off a single 12V battery in the string unbalances your pack and shortens battery life. This converter draws evenly across all batteries, so everything shares the load and your pack stays healthy.

The unit takes a constant feed from the battery plus a switched feed from your key switch, so it powers up when you turn the cart on and shuts down with the key. It comes in a sealed blue finned aluminium housing with an inline fuse holder fitted, and suits Club Car, EZGO, Yamaha and most 36V/48V carts. Not for 72V carts.

Run your 12V gear the right way and look after your battery pack.

FAQ

Will this fit my golf cart?
It suits Club Car, EZGO, Yamaha and most 36V and 48V carts. If your cart runs a 36V or 48V battery pack and you want to power 12V accessories, this converter will do the job. Check your cart's wiring diagram before connecting to confirm the wire colours match your setup.

Can I use it on a 72V cart?
No. This unit is rated for 36V and 48V systems only, with an input range of 30 to 55 volts. It is not suitable for 72V carts.

How do I install it?
The harness connects a constant positive feed from the battery, a switched positive feed from the key switch, a ground, and the 12V output to your accessories. Check the wire colours against your wiring diagram before connecting. If you are not confident with 12V wiring, have an auto electrician fit it.

How much can I run off it?
The output is rated 12V nominal at 30A, 350W. Keep your total accessory load under 30A, and for regular use we recommend staying at or under 24A continuous. Add up the current draw of everything you plan to run at once before you wire it in.

Why does it need a wire from the key switch?
The switched input turns the converter on and off with your key. That way the unit and your accessories shut down when the cart is off, so nothing drains the battery pack while the cart is parked.
